What of Beauty?

The other day I went exploring, determined to see more of this city I apparently live in now. I ended up following this long path closed in by tall trees that hung beautifully in the intermittent sun. I snapped hundreds of shots of trees and bush and streams of golden light but when I got home and studied them all in a bit more detail they didn't interest me! The pictures I really loved were the ones of ugly, naked civilisation imposing itself upon the world. Such as a load of transformers fenced in and barely noticeable through the leaves; trying, and failing, to blend into their surroundings.
But as I mentioned it wasn't until I got home that I realised how much I preferred these shots, so instead of giving you pictures that delicately displayed the juxtaposition of 'Necessary Infastructure' and 'Preserved Nature' I just got a few macro shots of man made items without any real context to frame them.
But still, I'm happy with them, and maybe one day I'll head back and try to see if I can capture what I've just spoken of.

These are the two shots I was most pleased with from that walk.....
